Keith Mitchell

Although mostly self-taught as an artist, he has studied Art History in Cambridge, England, and received a B.A. in Communication from U.S.C. For two years, he assisted world renown celebrity photographer, Michael Childers, in Los Angeles. In addition to photography, Keith Mitchell works in most mediums, recently, sculpting marble in Pietrasanta, Italy and painting on the island of Skiathos, Greece.

He has designed numerous sets for theater and television and his international work as an art director in television has won a half dozen (BDA)Broadcast Design Awards and a 1992 Emmy Award for Art Direction for the NBC Barcelona Olympics Coverage. His art direction and scenic work can be seen on many stations in the U.S., Germany, Australia, Mexico and China, and has appeared in Vanity Fair, for Angela Bassett and on the cover of Variety, for Sony TV. His paintings and sculptures reside in many private and corporate collections, CBS, ABC, Fox Family Channel, to name a few. They also occasionally turn up on the sets of films, most recently, "Play It to the Bone".
